INTERIM WORKSHOP: HANUMANASAN

Do you need to stretch during the break? Hanumanasana
or the splits is named after the monkey god Hanuman,
who made a giant leap from India to Sri Lanka. This pose
is a great way to open the hips and legs. Open to students
who have completed at least two sessions of Yoga 2. 2 CEUs

PREPARING
FOR BIRTH WITH YOGA
with Tracy
This workshop will serve as a guide for the birth mama
to create a calmer and more aware birth experience. Find
out how yoga can help you prepare for labor, childbirth
and life as a parent. Together, we will explore how yoga
allows us to cultivate strength and flexibility, a confident,
yet open mind, as well as awareness of alignment and breath.
We will also explore how partners can support the process.
The workshop includes discussion and practice and will
end with a guided meditation and relaxation. Open to all
levels and partners are welcome!

MINDFUL
MOTHERING
with Tracy
Motherhood is an adventure like no other. The practice
of yoga and everyday mindfulness can be a great help to
mothers of children of all ages. In this workshop, we will explore how to use
yoga (including asana, conscious breathing, and meditation) to become more
mindful and balanced in our parenting. Learn tips for practicing when your
time is limited and your energy is zapped. We will learn how to balance self
care with other care, the art of being present, breathing practices, and other
techniques that can be integrated into everyday life. The workshop will include
exercises to explore your current state of balance and ways to bring your life
into better balance. Join us for an afternoon of inspiration, education, rest,
and wellness. Be prepared for lots of discussion as well as a 30 minute practice. Please bring a notebook or journal.

LEARNING
AND LIFTING INTO HEADSTAND
with Dianne
Advance your practice by safely and progressively learning why and how to invert
in Headstand, the king of postures. We’ll warm the body and prepare the
shoulders, set the pose foundation based upon body proportion, and then gently
turn upside down with control. Afterwards we will practice releasing postures.
Open to students who have completed at least two full sessions of Yoga 2. Not
appropriate for students with uncontrolled high blood pressure, eye, neck or
shoulder injuries. 2 CEUs.
